Zinarc°

A personal 3D experiment for Zinarc, a local interior brand. I handled the full piece from scratch: ideation, script, modeling, animation, compositing, 2D effects, and sound design. It was my way of testing whether 3D could fit into my practice, and I ended up liking the result more than I expected.

Overview

A self-initiated 3D interior film for Zinarc, a local interior brand. I created the full piece myself, from idea and script through modeling, animation, compositing, 2D effects, edit, and sound design. It was mainly an experiment to see how far I could push a 3D workflow with limited experience.

The challenge

The main challenge was everything: this was a fully 3D project and I barely had experience with that pipeline. Finishing it in a week meant learning while making. The response from other 3D artists was really encouraging, and while I enjoyed the process, it also made me realise I still love 2D more and want to stay closer to that.

Approach

  1. 01Started with a simple concept for a local interior brand and built the whole film from scratch.
  2. 02Used Blender for the main 3D scene, furniture animation, camera movement, and lighting.
  3. 03Composited in After Effects with added 2D effects, then finished the sound design in Premiere Pro.
  4. 04Treated it as a 3D test to see if that workflow could fit into my motion practice.
